Working at IDE

When we asked our employees what they like about working at IDE, the top three responses did not surprise us. Our global team of over 70 employees unanimously agrees that the people, the variety of work, the exciting projects and a belief in the mission define our culture at IDE and make it a great place to work.

No two days are the same at IDE when you work on a variety of challenging and exciting projects. Partnering with large multinational clients with many years of medical device experience and small startups looking to get their products to market means the variety of projects is enormous. Most Product Developers/Senior Product Developers will work on several projects at any time, so there is always plenty of exciting work to keep you busy. One of our Product Developers states, “The work is very challenging but also rewarding. The amount you can learn at IDE is endless. Everyone is quite focused on the same vision to do work that creates a meaningful and positive impact. The people here are incredibly hardworking and inspiring.” There is always something new to learn at IDE.

IDE employees put other people first and are “interesting”, “smart”, “friendly”, “fun” and “talented”, so working together with our global team is easy. We enjoy learning from each other day-to-day, and we get together to share our experiences in fortnightly huddles, Friday night drinks, and quarterly meetings.

We are structured in business units, so everyone has a place of belonging aligned to specific business targets. These small teams work together on big goals, creating new businesses around the new technologies they develop. One employee describes it as follows: “The diversity of people. Interesting work. An open culture of feedback and the ability to challenge each other. Being constantly challenged with the work I do and getting opportunities to extend myself.”

We love working together to build better futures for health. We are very clear on our purpose and the reason we get out of bed in the morning is to make an impact in the world in which we live. We attract and select employees based on our values. We need to be curious, embrace complexity, be resourceful, think positive, and take ownership to make an impact. With our reward and recognition program, we recognise those that live and breathe our values.
