IDE Group win Good Design Award
IDE Group had the pleasure earlier this month to not only attend but accept a prize at the Good Design Awards in Sydney. In collaboration with Imaxeon and Bayer Radiology, the IDE team set out to uncover the hidden opportunity that lay with CT contrast injectors, resulting in a product predicted to change the radiology industry: Medrad Centargo. Centargo is a CT injector that minimises touch time by automating manual processes, allowing the clinician to spend more face- to face- time with the patient.
The Good Design awards followed the launch of Centargo at the European Congress of Radiology earlier this year. The team celebrated further as the first human injection was performed at the Australian Clinical Investigation site in Sydney. The team has worked on this project since its birth in 2013, identifying the opportunity for a dual flow injecting system and utilising snap in- snap out patient lines in order to reduce contamination risks, creating what will be a revolutionary piece of MedTech equipment.
