Hailing originally from the United Kingdom, Ben spent his formative years trying to find a way to combine an unusual mix of talents for art, design, mathematics and science into a future career. It wasn't until he attended an open day at Brunel University that he knew there was such a thing as Industrial Design, but from that day forward he never looked back! After graduating, Ben worked in and around London as a freelance designer in such fields as consumer electronics, personal protective equipment and thermal imaging cameras for firefighting and surveillance applications. Having taken the leap to in-house product development, Ben ended up heading the industrial design team at Psion Plc, where he worked on the design of mobile computing products, from PDAs to hand-held and vehicle mounted terminals used in demanding environments such as warehousing. It was in 2011 that Ben emigrated to Sydney with his Australian wife and their two young children. His passions outside design are food, wine and anything involving cars!
