Renate Hulst

I grew up wanting to make things. Things like: my own furniture, drawings and even logo’s for people when I got a hold of the adobe software. This drive for creativity, together with my passion for mathematics led me towards Industrial Design Engineering. Here I discovered my love for Medical Product Development. During my master Integrated Product Development I worked on two six-month medical projects. One for Zimmer-Biomet (Smart-Hip implant) and my graduation project for TIM Solutions in cooperation with Pezy Group (FluidBalance). FluidBalance is a Medical Service-System which increases accuracy in fluid balance measurements, decreases workload for nurses and saves money for hospitals. In short FluidBalance is a Service-System including weighing modules for urine production and IV input and an application to register other fluid input and output. After graduation I worked for Pezy Group for two years, where I continued working on the FluidBalance project and developed more knowledge a.o. in Plastics Engineering and CAD skills (Creo and SolidWorks). Together with IDE Group I would love to gain more experience in developing Medical Products and everything that comes with it!
