Philip van Griethuijsen

Philip first was introduced to medical devices by his father, a radiologist. At first he considered becoming a docter himself, but the pull towards the excitement of engineering was stronger. After his bachelors in Physics, the two paths converged again in a masters in biomedical engineering.

Philip always aims to see his work in the larger perspective, to "look farther than his nose is long" as we say in Dutch. Philip carries 4 years experience in development of ophthalmological surgical instruments. In his freetime, you'll find Philip on the fieldhockey pitch, or riding the North Sea's waves on his kiteboard.
